Oak Park Explores TIF Idea for Roosevelt Road
Village staff to study possibility of creating a tax increment financing district on Roosevelt Road in Oak Park, Oak Leaves reports.
Oak Park Village Board members last week supported the idea of creating a tax increment financing district on Roosevelt Road, Oak Leaves reported Thursday.
The village would use funds in the Business Services department for a study of the possibility of a TIF district. A representative of Roosevelt Road Business Association last month asked the board to create a TIF, pointing out the contrast between development on the Oak Park side of Roosevelt Road versus the Berwyn side of Roosevelt Road, according to the paper.
