How did the business come to be?

One of my very first jobs was working for a bridal magazine. That's how I got my introduction to the wedding industry. But it wasn't until I planned my own wedding years later that I realized how useful my attention to detail and organizational skills could be.

After my wedding was over, I say I went into "wedding planning withdrawal" -- I simply wanted to keep planning! It was something that I enjoyed and had found I was really good at, so I started toying with the idea of starting a wedding planning business. When I moved to Oak Park back in 2009, that was the perfect impetus, and Camille Victoria Weddings was launched soon after. I'm super excited for the business's 5-year anniversary next fall!

What is your business best known for?

I think we are most known for accessibility and the personalized attention given to each client. Wedding planning doesn't have to be stressful, so my goal is always to make the wedding planning process fun and memorable for the bride.  

What is something most people don’t know about your business?

Part of being a wedding planner means being prepared for those unexpected moments. I, of course, always bring an emergency kit to every event, filled with pins, hairspray, and other essentials. But most people don't know that I actually even got ordained online....just in case!
