D97 Board to Vote on Purchase of New Security Cameras

Monday, August 19

Mosquito spraying is scheduled for tonight, starting at 8:30 p.m. 

River Forest Village Board meets at 7 p.m.: The agenda includes liquor license requests from Starbucks and Whole Foods, and a request from Concordia University to approve a planned unit development amendment to allow the university to host Fenwick University for its homecoming game in October. Oak Park and River Forest High School Finance Advisory Committee (FAC): The FAC meets at 7 p.m. Agenda items include enrollment projections and a pension reform discussion.

Tuesday, August 20

Oak Park Elementary School District 97 board meets at 7 p.m.: The board will vote on its plan to buy iPads to implement its 1:1 technology plan starting this fall. The board will also vote on a resolution to purchase and install 79 exterior security cameras at its eight elementary schools. Read more: District 97 Plans iPad Rollout, Parent Communication.
