Teen Robbed by 2 Men, Crack Pipe Found on Bike Thief: Police Blotter

Oak Park police reports, July 13-15

MONDAY, JULY 15

Marijuana, Intent to Deliver

Harry King, 26, of Chicago was charged with marijuana possession with intent to deliver around 2:15 a.m. in the 200 block of Lake Street. Police said King had 15 grams of pot separated into 20 small bags. He was processed and held for bond hearings.

Man With Crack Pipe Caught Stealing Bike

Link Miller, 52, of Chicago was arrested for a bike theft, possession of burglary tools and drug paraphernalia in the 1000 block of South Boulevard. A plain-clothes officer saw Miller use bolt cutters to cut a cable lock for a bike and steal the bike around 1 p.m., police said. Police said Miller had a crack pipe in his possession. He was given a July 19 felony court date and held for bond hearings. 

Locks Stolen 

Someone stole two key pad locks and two cable locks from a garage in the 800 block of South Scoville Avenue between 6:15 and 6:30 a.m. The total estimated loss is $70, police said. 

Phone Stolen From Truck

Someone stole a Samsung Galaxy cell phone, a phone case, a laptop bag, a phone charger, work papers and keys from an unlocked truck in the 400 block of South Grove Avenue between 4:30 and 5:15 p.m. The total estimated loss is $800, police said. 

Bike Theft

Someone stole an $80 men's mountain bike from a rack in the 100 block of South Oak Park Avenue between 8:30 a.m. July 12 and 8:15 a.m. July 15. 

Theft at T.Mobile

Someone stole a Galaxy 4S phone from T. Mobile, 1132 Lake Street around 2:30 p.m. The total estimated loss is $650, police said. 

SUNDAY, JULY 14

Teen Robbed by 2 Men

Two men robbed a 15-year-old Oak Park boy in the 200 block of Augusta Avenue. Police said the men approached the teen around 9 p.m. and asked to see what he had inside the envelope he was carrying. When the teen refused, one of the men started to pull something silver out of his pocket, and the teen dropped $60 when he turned to run, police said. 

SATURDAY, JULY 13

Hub Caps Stolen From Cadillac

Someone stole the hub caps of a 1997 Cadillac DeVille parked in the 900 block of North Boulevard between 1 a.m. July 10 and midnight July 13. The total estimated loss is $600, police said.
