Purse Stolen From Woman Eating at Outdoor Cafe
A teenage boy ran up behind a woman sitting at an outdoor cafe in the 900 block of Lombard Avenue around 7:20 p.m., stole her purse from under her chair and ran east on Harrison Street. The boy was described as about 5-foot-9, 160 pounds and wearing a black tank top and red shorts, police said. The purse, which was missing an iPhone and a wallet, was found in an alley in the 900 block of South Taylor Avenue. The total estimated loss is $500, police said.Power Tools Stolen From Van

Burglary
A resident in the 1000 block of Elmwood Avenue reported a burglary around 2:15 p.m. after she saw a man hunched over in her enclosed porch. When the woman ran out the front door to tell her son to call the police, she saw a minivan speed away, police said. Several jewelry boxes had been ransacked in the house, but the estimated loss is unknown, police said.Wallet Stolen
Someone stole a wallet containing $50 and credit cards from a car in an unlocked garage in the 300 block of South Harvey Avenue between 8:30 p.m. June 17 and 5:30 a.m. June 18. Police said the credit card was used at a gas station in Chicago around 5 a.m. and to charge an AT&T call online. The total estimated loss is $75, police said.Credit Cards Stolen
Someone stole credit cards from a wallet in an unlocked car in the 200 block of South Euclid Avenue between 9:30 p.m. June 17 and 12:30 a.m. June 18. The credit card was later used at a gas station in Cicero, police said.Fishing Supplies, DVD Player Stolen

Someone stole a power washer, a power cord, a weed whacker, a microwave and three coolers from an unlocked garage and $5 from an unlocked car in the 600 block of South Scoville Avenue between 10:30 p.m. June 16 and 8 a.m. June 17.
