Aggravated DUI, Assault Arrests Reported in Oak Park

Oak Park police report DUI and warrant arrests from Sept. 19-22. Also: Someone stole a trombone from the auditorium at Beye Elementary School.

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 22

Aggravated DUI, Leaving Scene of Accident

Miguel Guardian, 32, of Chicago, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol after a hit and run crash near the intersection of North Avenue and Austin Boulevard between 7:20 and 8:15 a.m. Witnesses reported a gray Infiniti rear-ended a VW and drove west on Augusta. Guardian, who was stopped in the 2300 block of Elmwood Avenue in Berwyn, was charged with two counts of aggravated DUI, leaving the scene of an accident and driving without a valid license. He was processed and held on bond. 

DUI

Gregory Crawford, 24, of Chicago, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol after a crash in the 0-100 block of Iowa Avenue about 3 a.m. Police said Crawford was trying to make a three-point turn when he hit a parked car. His blood alcohol content was .173, police said. He was processed, given an Oct. 29 court date and released on $3,000 bond.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 21

DUI

Police charged Darren Gosberry, 27, of Merrillville, IN, with driving under the influence of alcohol during a traffic stop for no headlights about 12:25 a.m. at the intersection of Madison Street and Humphrey Avenue. He was released on bond.

Warrant: Public Indecency

Police charged Christopher Harper, 33, of Chicago, with a warrant out of Chicago for public indecency after officers responded to a call about a disturbance at a business in the 0-100 block of Madison Street about 6:30 a.m. He was processed and given over to Chicago police. 

Bike Stolen From Yard

A man with neck tattoos in a red baseball hat stole a $100 bike from a yard in the 500 block of North Humphrey Avenue between 7:50 and 10 a.m. 

License Plate Stolen

Someone stole the front license plate from a Jeep in the 800 block of South Humphrey Avenue between 10 p.m. Sept. 20 and 8 a.m. Sept. 21. The total estimated loss is $26, police said. 

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 20

Warrant: Aggravated Assault

Police charged Pianche Guidry-Watkins, 24, of the 400 block of South Kenilworth Avenue in Oak Park, with a warrant out of Cook County for aggravated assault when they responded to a call about a fight in the 800 block of South Taylor Avenue about 11:30 p.m. He was held on bond. 

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 18

Trombone Stolen From Elementary School

Someone stole a trombone from the auditorium at Beye Elementary School between 6 p.m. Sept. 17 and 7 p.m. Sept. 18. The total estimated loss is $800, police said.
