Psychiatrist's Ex-Wife Filled Her Own Prescriptions: Police

Other recent River Forest police reports include a DUI arrest, a man who was attacked after he denied having relations with an ex-neighbor's wife, a report of fireworks destroying a box of religious flyers, theft at OPRF and more.

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 24

DUI

Evelyn Jacome, 28, of Melrose Park, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol about 2 a.m. 

Police said Jacome, who was stopped for driving 65 mph in a 30 mph zone on on North Avenue, had a blood alcohol content of .158, police said. She was charged with DUI, Reckless Driving and several additional traffic violations.

An Oak Park resident reported his former neighbor pushed and threatened him after he denied having relations with the man's wife at McDonald's, 624 Harlem Ave. on Monday.

Psychiatrist's Ex-Wife Filled Her Own Prescriptions

Police are investigating a report that an ex-wife of an Oak Park psychiatrist fraudulently filled out prescriptions for herself and picked up medications for herself at multiple pharmacies in the area, including CVS Pharmacy, 7929 North Ave. in River Forest. The ex-husband learned of the fraudulent use of prescriptions when he was alerted by the Prescription Monitoring Program, police said.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 21 

Fireworks Thrown at Religious Flyers

Someone threw fireworks at a wooden box containing religious flyers at River Forest Bible Church, 946 Harlem Ave. The box sustained irreparable damage, police said.

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 24

iPhone Stolen From Car

Someone stole an iPhone 5 from an unlocked car in the 300 block of South Oak Park Avenue between 7 p.m. Sept. 23 and 5:30 a.m. Sept. 24. The total estimated loss is $300, police said. 

iPhone Stolen at OPRF

Someone stole an iPhone 5 from a locker at the boy's pool at Oak Park and River Forest High School between 12 and 1 p.m. The total estimated loss is $500, police said. 

Woman Ditches Cab Without Paying

A woman ran out of a cab without paying her $62 fare about midnight in the 1000 block of Randolph Street. 

Break-in on Lake Street

Someone broke into the basement of a home in the 700 block of Lake Street between 6:30 p.m. Sept. 23 and 7 a.m. Sept. 24. The estimated loss is unknown, police said.

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 23

Bike Stolen

Someone stole a $435 bike, with its silver bracket and headlight, from a rack in the 1100 block of South Boulevard between 9 a.m. and 6:45 p.m.
